Les abeilles de retour à la ruche, se font toujours capturer par les frelons. L'abdomen est ouvert pour accéder au jabot remplit de nectar.

Ensuite, seul est gardé le thorax, constitué de protéines pour nourrir les larves du nid.

Irish beekeepers are fearful of an influx of swarms of Asian hornets after a sighting was confirmed in Cornwall.The insects pose a threat to Ireland’s native honey bee, social wasps and other insects, and members of the public have been urged to report any suspected sightings to beekeepers.
